The unbound anthology project is the lovechild of the chapbook and literary magazine. Each volume will feature 12 poems by contemporary poets printed on loose pages and secured in a “spineless cover.” The publication will be produced in limited edition.

During a recent redecoration, I allowed myself the indulgence of framing a few pieces of art I love. Framing is fairly standard. But most people I know do not turn to their collection of catalogues and magazines to find the pictures for their walls (most people I know do not have a collection of catalogues and magazines - mine is relatively extensive). I finally settled on a very pleasing street-scape in oranges from last fall’s anthropologie and wine recommendations printed over a Greek sea in a recent Gourmet. They look fantastic.
I love books. But I adore pages. Though the concept is not new, I would like to explore the art of a “spineless book” of poems that can be read and shuffled and framed at will, then secured again inside their “cover.” Dear Friend, you are a good poet writing good poems. Please consider sharing a piece of yours that you are not pushing elsewhere or that is simply hiding in the recesses of revision folders.

Should your submission be picked for publication, you will receive an invitation to publish with us that you may decline, should that poem have been accepted elsewhere since your initial submission. Submissions should include no more than 4 poems.
